Hi!

Thanks for stopping by. Let me introduce myself. I’m Gail Erwin.

When I started getting up in front of people, I sang. Then I acted. The minute people laughed, I was hooked. I was six years old at the time. By now, that’s a long time ago. 

I started writing songs after my third child was born. Someone dared me to do it. Or, to be honest, they bet me I COULDN’T do it. Well, that was hundreds of songs ago. 

I took my songs to people, and they told me I was a storyteller. Why didn’t I write the whole story? So I began writing plays with music.

I write things that are fun to perform. I want everyone to enjoy themselves, actor and audience alike. This doesn’t mean I don’t tackle serious issues. But when you look at  how to begin making world peace, how to harness scientific progress rather than be a slave to it, how to find your place in the world without losing your humanity, it’s okay to chuckle now and then. It might even help.
