Odysseus Onstage

Set: Bare stage with props.

Synopsis: Ideal for junior high audiences and actors, this adventure features Odysseus on a journey past Cyclops, Circe's Isle, and the Land of the Dead. At last, having recruited audience members as sailors, suitors, handmaids and victims, our hero returns to his home and exacts his vengeance. This production has toured Nebraska and Iowa.

Performance history: ODYSSEUS ONSTAGE was produced at the Emmy Gifford Children's Theater as a touring production in 1991, where it originated at Westside High School, Omaha, NE. It toured Nebraska and Iowa in 1992, and was produced in 1994 at the Platteview Junior High School, Platteview, NE.
