Synopsis: A musical retelling of the Andersen story of a tiny girl born in a flower and set adrift in a world full of large and threatening creatures. Thumbelina makes friends of Madame Beaver and Orville Swallow, and becomes, in the end, mistress of her fate.

Running time: one hour

Performance history: THUMBELINA ran Oct. 15 - Nov. 14, 1993 at the Emmy Gifford Children's Theater, and went on national tour from the Omaha Theater Company for Young People in the spring of 1995.
